Thursday, October 9th
Evening: Welcome meet and greet with refreshments and
appetizers
Friday, October 10th
Morning: Prairie dog hunting and lunch (provided)
Afternoon: Rifle practice and friendly trapshoot competition
Annie Oakley challenge
Buddy trapshooting competition
Evening: Celebration dinner and drinks at The Barn in the Big
Horn (covered by club)
Late Evening: Traditional “Calcutta” auction – humorous
presentations and bidding on who will harvest the largest deer
Saturday, October 11th – HUNT DAY
Sunrise: Meet your Rotary guide for transport to designated
private land locations
5:00 PM Deadline: All harvested deer must be delivered to
Valley Meat Processing
Evening: Celebration drinks and appetizers
Sunday, October 12th
Full Day: Fly fishing trip on the Big Horn River (Montana) – a
world-renowned destination
Lunch: Provided by the club
Hunters Responsibilities:
- Hunting License: Each hunter pays cost of their Wyoming
hunting license (see Wyoming Game & Fish for 2025 rates) - Transportation: All travel expenses to/from Sheridan, WY
- Deer Processing: Valley Meat Processing – typically $150+
depending on deer size and products chosen - Hunting Gear: Bring your own rifle, ammunition, or use ours
